Bio oils are oils that are meant to treat acne and remove acne scars. However, like each product available in the market bio oil along with its advantages has its fair share of disadvantages. The disadvantage of the bio oil is the rash that occurs with the usage of the oil.
This rash occurs due to the mineral oil present in the bio oil. The mineral oil is petro-chemical derivative and is harmful to the skin. There are many simple and easy to render everyday treatments to treat the damages caused by the bio oil and rashes that occur with it.
Olive oil and aloe Vera are very effective skin toners and provides instant relief from the itching and burning of the bio oil and rashes. Vitamin E, a good anti oxidant for our skin is a component of aloe Vera.
Treatments to dry the effected area are also very effective as they reduce the irritation, redness and swellings caused by the rashes. Using baking powder can dry the area moreover; soaking in a warm water bath mixed with oat meal also provides the same results.
Mixtures of lemon juice and rose water or a mixture of sandalwood and lemon are great moisturizers for the skin and help in reducing the side effects of the bio oil. Chamomile tea is considered as the best remedy for treating acne. People affected by acne are advised to buy chamomile tea face washes and wash their faces regularly with the face wash and warm water to reduce the symptoms of acne.
A mixture of 10-15 basil leaves, 2 garlic cloves, 1 tbsp. of olive oil, salt and pepper is another great home remedy for treating the bio oil rashes. This mixture should be applied to the effected area for reducing the rash.
But no treatment can match the benefits of eating a good, balanced and nutritious diet. Fruits and vegetables are considered to have anti-oxidative properties and therefore, their quantity should be increased in an individual’s diet. Anti-oxidants reduce the damage done to the skin by the bio oil.
