The Water Diet

There are a lot of diets that have been circulating around discussion forums on the internet, tea parties and other social gatherings. Losing weight seems to have become a global fad. Everyone, no matter what nationality they belong to, wants to jump on the weight loss train. You may have heard of numerous diet plans, some meant to serve as long term solutions and most of them as short term solutions. The water diet is one of the long term solutions that first began to take the rounds in the 1997. Although it is not clear where it originated from, the commonly associated source is the Institute for Psychoactive Research.
Water Diet
Essentially, this diet is not really a diet. It is a way to encourage a lifestyle that includes more water intake than usual. We all know the importance of water but still some of us believe that drinking fluids like milk, tea, coffee and alcohol is a proper substitute for water. This is not true. There never has been and never will be any substitute for clean and pure drinking water. Despite the intake of different kinds of fluids, the importance and efficacy of water cannot be ignored. The human body needs clean water in order to perform its functions properly and efficiently making it a vital part of our daily diet. In addition, water also makes the process of flushing out waste and toxins easier for the organs thus reducing the chances of digestive problems.

The Water Diet recommends the intake of half a gallon of water every day. The diet does not add any restrictions to your eating habits, demand exercise, dictate a lowering of fats or ask you to give up your daily glass of wine. It only suggests that you drink at least 8 glasses of 8 oz cold water every single day for your whole life.
