The Candida Albicans is a kind of yeast which can grow aggressively in the body when not checked and controlled. However, foods such as honey, maple sugar are not included in this list and do not feed the yeast. These are safe to consume.

When on a diet for Candida, it is also important to avoid foods which contain carbohydrates. Although they do not cause the increase of yeast directly, they do raise sugar levels in the blood. Individuals need not avoid all types of foods, just those which contain processed carbohydrates. It will also be beneficial to avoid potatoes, corn and foods that contain a high level of starch.

People love to eat leftovers. However, research shows that the mold that grows on older food can also induce the growth. Although people may not see the molds, the consumption of leftovers can make foods grow faster.

When fighting the illness, some examples of Candida diet food which individuals can take include green leafy vegetables, meat, fish, fowl meat such as chicken, turkey, quail, goose and so on. Look for organic meats and foods. Genetically modified meats and chickens are fed a high level of antibiotics to grow well, which also feed the yeast in a person’s body. Eat fruits such as apples and others which contain low sugar levels as well as vegetables such as garlic and onions. These types of onions help the body to heal quickly. Vegetable oils and butter which do not contain hydrogenated oils are also safe to use when cooking. When on the diet, drink lots of filtered water. Avoid tap water as it contains chlorine which also removes vitamins in the system.
