<p>Fruit is a close second to vegetables in terms of importance for a psoriasis sufferer.  I love the quick, convenient fruits &#8211; apples, bananas, oranges, and kiwis.  Apricots and mangoes are especially beneficial for people with psoriasis, because they contain beta carotene.  Beta carotene is converted into Vitamin A by our bodies, which is great for overall skin health.  It doesn&#8217;t really matter which fruits you are eating, as long as you get loads of them into your diet every day.</p>
<p>While fruits and vegetables are the most important food items we need to be consuming, there are plenty of other healthy items out there.  Omega 3 fatty acids are important for many different functions in our body.  It is important to make foods rich in Omega 3&#8242;s a part of your diet.  I have made it a habit to eat fatty fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel) two or three times a week.  There is a saying &#8220;Eat salmon on Saturday, tuna on Tuesday&#8221; for a healthy heart, mind, and skin.  Also, walnuts and flaxseed are quite abundant in Omega 3&#8242;s as well, so it would be a good idea to eat a handful of each every day or two.</p>
