This article is going to look at the usage and reviews of bio oil in connection with acne removal and acne scarring. Bio oil acne reviews are everywhere on the Internet, most of them are very negative and most of them state that the product does not work when it comes to acne.
So I visited the bio oil website and I found that there is no mention of using bio oil to treat acne. The first drop-down menu I came across was headed “Uses”. Under that were listed six different uses for bio oil which were “Scars”, “Stretch Marks”, “Pregnancy Stretch Marks”, “Uneven Skin Tone”, “Ageing Skin”, and “Dehydrated Skin”.
There is also a heading entitled “Clinical Trials”. Under that heading is a section entitled “Acnegenic Skin Testing”. Here the company has said that there was a certain amount of “public interest” that this product may actually promote the appearance of acne. You can visit the website for the actual methodology behind this test and the full results. A brief summary of the results were that there was no significant difference between the untreated areas and those that were treated with bio oil. This test was not initiated to prove the efficacy of using bio oil in the treatment of acne, it was actually used to prove that bio oil does not actually cause acne to occur.
So, I can only surmise from this that Union-Swiss is not claiming that their product can or should be used for the treatment of acne or acne scarring. Therefore it is pointless to take anything from Bio Oil Acne Reviews other than the individual who wrote the review should not have been using the product for the removal of acne scarring or the treatment of acne in the first place.
